150th Anniversary
In 2026, we will celebrate 150 years since Mothers’ Union was founded in the small parish church of Old Alresford, Hampshire, by Mary Sumner, a young vicar's wife with a bold vision.

Join Anglican Communion for an online prayer gathering on 16th September in honour of 150 years of Mothers' Union, praying for justice, peace, women and families across the Anglican Communion.
The gathering will include scripture, readings, music, hymns and prayers, with a key talk from Kathleen Snow, Worldwide President of Mothers’ Union.

Chris has written a biography of our founder, Mary Sumner. Profits will be donated to Mothers' Union 150th fund.
